Best Places to Meet People in Atlanta Whether you are into volunteering or batting around a tennis ball, Atlanta probably has the best place for you to meet people with similar interests. You could either be helping out the community while building houses for Habitat for Humanity or playing tennis for ALTA. Check out the following organizations to see which fits you best.
Atlanta Ski Club (ASC) The ASC is a non-profit organization and is one of the most successful ski clubs in the world. The ski club offers monthly socials and happy hour, which gives people a chance to meet. Also offered by ASC are day hikes in the Appalachians, forays to jungles of South America and much more. The Community Garden helps neighborhood groups with finding locations for, planning and organizing gardens. The project enables families to provide their own food through gardening. Each affiliate works to serve its specific community. Hands on Atlanta Hands On Atlanta is a non-profit organization that helps individuals, families and community groups find volunteer opportunities. The volunteers participate all year, serving community needs at schools, senior homes, low-income neighborhoods and more. High Museum The High Museum of Art may be what you are looking for when you want to add a little bit of culture to your life. Inside the Georgia-Pacific Building near 5 Points, the downtown branch displays folk art and photography. In addition to exhibitions, the museum offers films, lectures, concerts and gallery talks, and organizes social groups such as Peachtree Arts, young Careers and Art Associates-all 3 groups explore art in a social setting.
